NZ Yearling Sales Series
Introduction
Eligibililty is restricted to yearlings sold at auction at only those sales at which the Auctioneers have been duly appointed by the NZ Sires Stakes Board to receive entries. Any yearling nomination is accepted on the understanding that the horse concerned has not been broken into harness, hopples and/or gaited at the time of sale. The owner of each yearling must complete an entry declaration prior to that yearling being offered for sale stating that it has not been broken in as aforementioned.
Race Series
A series for horses that were sold at the NZ Yearling Sales
All races are run over a sprint distance from the mobile start. All starters receive a share of the stake money.
Series No 28 is currently the last series in this forma with the PGG Wrightson Yearling Sales 3YO Division to be run in the 19-20 season.
Within the Three Year Old Section there are three divisions: Open Pacing, Fillies Pacing and Trotters..
A field selection criteria will be announced as part of the clubs programmes'". Where the number of acceptors for any principal race are such that a further field of eligible horses (minimum four acceptors) the Board will conduct a consolation.
